Who is this David Letterman Character?

David Letterman hosted several late night television programs over the years, but is mostly known for hosting the Late Show with David Letterman for over 30 years. Most notably to us, Letterman frequently had musical guests performing new and exciting versions of their hit songs on his program. And these weren't just any musical guests - Letterman was known for getting some of the biggest acts in the world to perform on his stage, and some numerous times over the decades.

When was this Video Aired?

As we already stated above, this appearance for the Foo Fighters took place on Dave's last night as host of the Late Show. That monumental event took place on May 20th, 2015. The video aired after Dave signed off the program for the final time, and was sung over a montage of hundreds and hundreds of famous - and infamous - moments and guests who appeared over the decades on Dave's historic television program.

Dave gave the Foo Fighters and Everlong a wonderful lead-in, during a time that must have been very difficult for him to hold his composure. He told a story about how Dave and the Foo Fighters actually postponed part of their South American tour just to play live on Dave's show, and how that meant the world to him.
